Full-Sized Dinosaur Skeleton Cast

Dinosaur Details

Monolophosaurus was a medium size Theropod dinosaur from the Middle Jurassic period. It was named for the single crest on top of its skull. The only known species, Monolophosaurus jiangi, measured 5 meters in length and weighed 1,500 pounds. Monolophosaurus was a crested dinosaur, but it wasn't closely related to other crested dinosaurs like Dilophosaurus. In fact, it was more closely related to the more advanced tetanurans, like Allosaurus.
